Travel center worker says female boss sexually harassed him

CHARLESTON — A man is suing his employer, alleging his female boss sexually harassed him and fired him for not giving her drugs.

PilotTravelCenterRobert Oldham filed a lawsuit March 24 in the Kanawha Circuit Court against Pilot Travel Centers L.L.C. and supervisor Teresa Bailey, citing violations of the West Virginia Human Rights Act.

The lawsuit states Oldham was employed at the Pilot Travel Centers location in Nitro where Bailey created a hostile work environment by making sexually suggestive and lewd comments to him and touching him inappropriately.

Oldham claims Bailey became angry with him for refusing to provide her with a controlled substance that violated the law and terminated his employment shortly afterward, according to the complaint.

Oldham is seeking damages for lost wages and benefits, back pay, front pay, damages for indignity, embarrassment, humiliation, annoyance, inconvenience and punitive damages, pre-judgment interest, plus court costs.

He is being represented by Mark A. Atkinson of Atkinson & Polak P.L.L.C. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis H. Bloom.
